Thank you Angels!

On Saturday, March 20, from 9 am until 5 pm, myself and small crew of angels dismantled 5 crates measuring 4′ t X 4′ w X 15′ l, AND 10, 10 foot wooden tubes with light fixtures for use in making gardens for the Community Support Programs of Project AngelFaces!! Wow! It was a gorgeous day, and we worked ourselves very, very hard, and had loads of fun!! We gathered materials to build a total of 8 enormous garden boxes, more than twenty 3′ containers, and an entire greenhouse, complete with shelves and lights for growing the nursery! Wow!~

A heartfelt thanks to Diane Boles, Mr. and Mrs. Shaun and Stephanie Abel, Viv Lynn, Daniel Harris, Nikki Blake, Lisa Champagne, David Curtis, Tyler, all the folks at Greener Vegas, and my fiscal donors: Daniel Harris, Diane Boles, Abbi Mc Bride and Denise Halvorson for making this day possible. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all. You are truly angels!

All for the love of making more gardens, it was worth the hard work and effort! More great pics of the day’s events to come…. and we still have more supplies at the Greener Vegas Warehouse awaiting another crew to help us unload at New Vista Ranch, too. Details to follow, soon… thanks for checking in!

Come celebrate the coming of Spring and our garden expansions with us! Bring your power tools, your strength, and your friends to one of three locations in the Las Vegas Valley to help Project AngelFaces gather the funds and the materials to expand our Community Support Programs and the Gardens of Project AngelFaces!

We will begin at the Greener Vegas Warehouse, located near Tropicana and Dean Martin, to raise funds, dismantle crates, gather, and load materials to expand our gardens programs onto the flatbed truck Greener Vegas will provide. The break-down and load-in is at Greener Vegas from 9am-noon.

Stage 2: Join us at the Butterfly House, located at the foot of Sunrise mountain, to unload some of the materials to build their raised bed organic garden, greenhouse, and compost area, for their new Garden Program. Butterfly House unload will be from Noon-2pm.

Stage 3: Join us at the New Vista Garden of Project AngelFaces, located near the 95 and 215 in the far northwest, for the final unload of all materials remaining. New Vista will take place from 2-4 pm.

Each of these stages of our valley-wide garden party will take place in succession. Times listed are approximate, and the more of you Angels that come out, the faster each stage will be completed. I need committed assistance at each garden point, as well as at the starting point–Greener Vegas Warehouse. The materials we will gather and disseminate will build a greenhouse, a seedling nursery with grow lights, 2, 3-stage compost containers, and several garden beds and garden containers, expanding one garden and creating a whole new garden program. This work will have an enormous and lasting positive impact in many lives. Your involvement with Project AngelFaces makes a difference!

You can sign up for shifts that occur nearest your home area, to save resources. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR SHIFTS by contacting me via email: rhondak@projectangelfaces.org.

Hello Angels! We hope this invitation finds you well, healthy and happy.  Project AngelFaces needs your support (and all the really strong friends you have) to the Greener Vegas warehouse (3350 Ali Baba #G, Las Vegas) on March 20, 2010 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  We will be collecting, loading and transferring many types of materials for use in the gardens of Project AngelFaces at Butterfly House and New Vista Garden.

Please join us with your power tools and your positive attitude to dismantle large crates- for use as garden boxes- pallets and other materials.  We need crews to help load the materials at Greener Vegas and unload at Butterfly House and New Vista Garden.  You can sign up for shifts anytime convenient for you during these hours: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  We must stress the importance of needing crews for the unload on site.

It is very important that you RSVP with Rhonda to confirm your attendance at this event. We need individuals who can own and can operate power tools to deal with these crates that will be our new garden boxes. We will also need to gather to list tools and materials that we will have to accomplish this task.  These crates are four feet tall by three feet wide by fifteen feet long (4 ft x 3 ft x 15 ft) and so we must know who is coming to help move these behemoths.

Thank you for all your support and for your massive turnout on March 20We are also expanding the New Vista Garden on April 17 .  New details for both events to come.

PLEASE RSVP AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS WITH TOOLS.

We can help carpool.  Feel free to call Rhonda for any questions.

Light and Gratitude
