This Program of Project AngelFaces provides organic gardening education via programs built through cooperative collaboration with existing agencies. There are currently three Organic Gardens of Project AngelFaces in this program: New Vista Ranch, Garden Club Henderson, and CSN Cheyenne.
The premier garden of this original program is in conjunction with New Vista Community, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting intellectually challenged individuals, so that they may live life to the fullest. The Organic Gardening program increases quality of life for this often stigmatized community by creating opportunities for active fun and friendship with non-challenged members of the greater community through job-skills training in organic gardening. The program will soon provide opportunities to earn income through organic gardening for participating residents of New Vista Ranch.
Garden Club Henderson is a 5 acre property donated to Project AngelFaces on which we are building a garden that will bridge a link between at risk elders and at-risk youth. Donated by the Reverends of Jesus Triumphant Christian Church, Drs. Mr. and Mrs. Ewe and Sharon Proehl, this 5 acre garden will support our community through the creation of locally grown organic food, jobs for the trainees of New Vista Ranch and other vulnerable populations, tons of compost, and many opportunities to unite our diverse communities in the common goal of growing empowerment in the garden.
The newest Garden Of Project AngelFaces is on the Cheyenne campus of the College of Southern Nevada. Grown in cooperation with the Culinary Department of CSN and with the dedication of Chef Steve Stoltz, this garden will provide volunteer opportunities for all interested students while also providing education and produce for the culinary department to use and share.

Hi! I will be starting a garden on Jones & Smoke Ranch on the grounds of a rental property (with the consent of the owner). I would like to make it a tribal garden if you are interested.
Also, I met Rhonda Killough in October at a different communtiy event. At that time I discussed introducing her to a few friends of mine (an organizer from a program comparable to New Vista and an organizer from the Las Vegas Humanatarian Festival). I would like to plan a lunch to accomplish these things if she is still interested.
Sincerely,
Emily Sisk

I was alerted to this group, this organization through Atani.
Is there any current things for 2013. I may be in the wrong page, but would love to endorse you if this is current-2013. Thanks
HI, Karen, Yes, this is still ongoing. We are working through some tech issues, and hadn’t used the blog in quite awhile, but we are working all the programs in any case. Thank Atani for us, and please check back soon. I will look for your email. Could you send a current email address, and add yourself through the link at ‘follow’ from the home page, please? Thank you!!
Hi Rhonda, it’s Shara Hinden. Long time no see! I hope all is well. I’m writing you because I wanted to ask for your contact information (when I switched phones, I lost my numbers!). I teach at Mojave High School, and I am in charge of a program called We R Community. I think it would be great to involve my kids in your projects, and possibly raise some funds for your organization. E-mail shhinden@interact.ccsd.net a physical address where I can send the information if you’re interested. Thanks!
